BIO

Amos Nachoum is a photographer and explorer.

He has shot just about everything there is to shoot, but what he loves most is wildlife photography. Especially if it’s in the water. And he has become world-famous at it.

Amos’s photography has been published around the globe. His editorial work has appeared in National Geographic, Time, The New York Times, Condé Nast Traveler, Le Figaro, and Der Spiegel magazines, plus in the books The Living Ocean, The World of Nature, and Oceans. He has been profiled on television shows such as National Geographic Explorer, Today, and Good Morning America as well as in People, Esquire, and Money magazines.

Nikon, Communication Arts, and BBC Wildlife have recognized him as Photographer of the Year. Recently APA National awarded Amos' image of a Penguin and Leopard Seal "Best in Show" for 2012.

Based in Pacific Grove, California, Amos operates the premier and cutting-edge adventure-travel company, Big Animals Expeditions. These voyages take him and his guests around the world to observe, photograph, and revere the most magnificent creatures on the planet.

In addition, he works tirelessly to bring attention to some of the most fragile regions of the underwater realm, with preservation of the environment foremost in every encounter.
